Flamingos Club de Golf
About
Opened in 1978, Flamingos Gofl Club was the first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. There are nine water hazards and over 40 bunkers that come into play throughout the golf course. The layout will test your target golf skills and good strategizing will be greatly rewarded, which includes not only your ball placement on the fairways but also proper club selection, especially on the holes that are more affected by the strong coastal breezes.

in good condition
Most enjoyable day, course in great shape will return
Worth playing this course
This is a nice course to play. Design of the course presents a nice progression of holes with a good variety in them. I found the front nine brought you in and the back nine then presented some more challenging holes (made you think more if you wanted to keep your good score going). Course was in good condition throughout. Couple of the greens the grass a little thin but they all rolled nice . Staff could have been a little more helpful in getting us going. Food at the outdoor grill was great.
Enjoyed Flamingos
My booking with Golfnow.com was perfect. The course gave us good value and was challenging to play, The greens were fast. We would play there again.
Good Tropical Golf on a Unique Course
Play this course a couple of times per year, when visiting PVR during the holidays. Would never pay the ridiculous rack rate of US$175, but good value thru Golfnow.com at $65 for 1:30 pm including electric cart and range balls.
Arrive early to take advantage of the grass driving range and large putting green. Give the range attendant a couple bucks and he'll provide extra balls and even clean your clubs.
Great layout and design as it meanders thru the jungles and swamps. Surprisingly hilly. Every hole is unique. Wide fairways and receptive (soft) greens. Thick forests and greenery surrounding all holes will devour errant balls so keep it in play or your score will suffer.
Alway cool to see the local wildlife, especially monkeys and crocodiles (proceed with caution). No bugs, except in some shady areas. The constant ocean breeze and hot sun keeps them at bay.
Cart girl on the course and the open hut bar at the turn will supply cold refreshments and hot food at fair prices. Tip well to keep them smiling.
Craziest thing is that this course is usually mostly empty during the afternoon on beautiful days. Better management would half the rates and fill this course. Such a shame.
Some good. Some bad
Course was in OK shape. Some of the greens were a bit dry. We had to talk the starter into letting us go off the back to avoid a group of 16
The course is senic
The greens were not in good shape.....too many 2 sums back to back. Should be doubled up. If your a 4 sum you have all these 2 sums coming up behind you.
Great Vacation
We had a great time golf was great weather hot can't wait to come back.
Wide open fairways
The course was in fair condition. The greens were basically dirt. We paid the "hot deal" rate so it was a fair price considering the condition of the course. Had we paid full golfnow rate, we would have asked for our money back.
We always enjoy
As you know we did not play as the weather was so bad
We did try several times to email you that we wished to cancel
We called the club and were referred to their voice mail which said it was Full
We left Mexico Saturday morning and have just arrived back in UK
I did try so many times to call or email you to cancel
I trust that you did cancel the credit card
We used you 8 times for 12 games and have used you for both FlMingoes and El Tigre many times over the last few years
Please confirm that you have refunded the card we gave

Flamingos
Today I was a single. Every group that I came up on, let me play through as soon as possible . People were great from the restaurant staff to the men's club members. Try the shrimp nachos. Course is wonderful and well maintained. With the open fairways you can let it rip.
Poor condition greens
The lay out of golf course is not bad but all the greens had fungus, like putting on dirt, wouldn't recommend to anyone
Overall the course is very good
Like the layout, fair to play, quite scenic.Played the course 5 times in last 10 days
Greens could be improved, but can't figure out the roll anyhow.
Crocs are entertaining to look for.
Staff is excellent.
Looking forward to playing it again.
Getting pricey.
A great course to play flamingos golf
This course was a real pleasure to play ,joined up with two members and had a great day .cheers Dennis and Joe
Not Going Back
This rating is based on the following criteria.
Our original tee time was booked on line and we got email confirmation. Friends drove us 30 minutes to course. Pro shop told us that they could not honor tee time because there was an outside tournament on the course. They called El Tigre and got us tee time there which cost much more than if we had booked on line..
Driving range condition is not very good. Lots of large divots. Range balls were like rocks
Layout of course is interesting. Not many yardage markers. Take a range finder if you go
Greens are quite slow maybe a 8 or 9 on a stimp meter.
Food cart had no sandwiches or apples
Pro shop personnel were very nice and helpful . Used the courtesy shuttle to return to residence. Very nice
Over all would not play there again
Golf in Mexico hot hot hot
Great value on golf now good layout played with one of the staff Zoltan nice guy helped me round the course. Played under my handicap off the yellows I'll play of the whites next course up to the greens great greens need a lot to be desired as someone was dragging their feet really bad but that's not the courses fault. Girl on beverage trolley worked hard always seemed available as in the bar after food good and reasonable prices. Playing again on Wednesday or Thursday.
Excellent track!
Great layout that wanders through the jungle. Each hole has its own unique characteristics. Greens were slow and soft, but just coming off the rainy season. Will definitely return!
First Round of Golf in Mexico this Time Around
Enjoyed the round of golf lucky to get paired up because we were the only golfers on the course. Course condition were good except for the greens they were very slow, had just been aerated and sanded.
2nd times a charm.
I played here 8 years ago a few days before my wedding. I did so horrible (110), that I couldn't remember the conditions or anything else good about the course.
Two days ago I came back to get my revenge. Was able to shoot 87. So now I can tell you the goods and the bads. I do have to preface that I went in mid August which is low season. Hot, humid, and only a few people on the course.
Pros: Very clean. Everything well manicured. Greens were in great shape. Cart had cooler with ice and two complimentary bottles of water. Restaurant was nice. Had good prices for beers. DOS Equis Amber for 25 pesos = $2. Course was challenging, but not too bad for an 18 handicap, like myself.
Cons: The main clubhouse is a bit outdated and dilapidated. The pro shop is very limited in what they have to sell. I actually wouldn't knock them too much on this because it costs a lot of money to carry inventory that probably doesn't sell quickly. Mexicans don't golf. They play soccer. Only tourists golf. So the expensive rates keeps everything manicured, but not too stock/update the pro shop
Flamlngo
Verry humid this time of year, course in good condition and very few golfers.
Best Value Course in The Puerto Vallarta Area.
Oldest course in Puerto, great staff, the booking was under someone's name who chose not to go and there was not even a hiccup in the registration. bathroom facilities were immaculate and the course was great. plays really long, 600-someting par 5 hole. pace of play was way ahead until caught up to a foursome but it is also the off season. warm up range leaves something to be desired but that's nothing.
