Marina Vallarta Golf Club
About
Marina Vallarta Golf Club is known for its stunning tropical landscape that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Golfers have the opportunity to play amongst iguanas and alligators while enjoying scenic views of the Bay of Banderas. The course is blessed with a bevy of natural hazards including towering palm trees, lagoons, and waterfalls. Colorful tropical flowers and native vegetation further accent the landscape. In addition to the natural hazards, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The golf course offers a challenging but fair test that is not overly demanding, which is probably for the best since it is easy to get distracted by the beautiful surroundings. Given its versatility and scenery, Marina Vallarta G.C. has become a popular venue for various golfing events, including the Governor's Cup Pro/Am Tournament.

Value Challenged
Golf in PV is very expensive, and this is no exception. For the price [$89 US at 2:00] courses at home are much better deal. I'm particularly disappointed in the dry course conditions.
The course is: flat: windy: lots of water: and well bunkered. Some the greens are dome shaped. Bring plenty of balls for the hungry ponds. Everything you have heard about the crocodiles here is true. Yikes
Took a caddie, and enjoyed our time very much.
Play here every time we visit the area, and we actually played here twice this time and both times took a caddie, they are awesome, and helped significantly. The course perhaps the easiest to get to, and reasonably priced. The layout is great and has Mutiple tees for all skill levels. Not always the most pristine course, but certainly worth playing. we will be back.
Not worth the price
Courts is fine and fun to play… however grin feed and club rental rates are exorbitant.
Jan 18th round
Fun time. 3rd time to play. Enjoyable outing. Staff is great
Course condition
Course is in great shape greens are perfect and fast
Good layout
Good layout and greens are fine. Fairways are a bit dried out but you get a lot of roll! Cart paths are interlock and a bit bumpy.
Overall a fun course to play, I’d you can get over the bumpy paths and dry looking fairways it’s a good golf course.
Good golf fun
Fun time met some great people playing a very enjoyable round
Be careful of Mexican exchange rate -
First time I’ve ever experienced where they charged me in pesos, but when I converted the money on a no fx fee card it was $40 more for the two of us then quoted via golf now
I checked when we played a second round already paid for (hot deal) Norma said that was the rate…not Impressed
Tho much sand traps
If you like playing in the sand this is the course for you
Fiasco with the GPS led to miss holes
The GPS system was not functioning so carts would lock up. In order to keep pace of play, we skipped holes, shots, etc..
The staff was unhelpful and not apologetic, or owning it for the course, but rather blaming the GPS and not there, inability to turn it off Keep it off so carts don’t get locked up.
The course Played pretty well However, it does not look like the course in the photos.
I Other courses in the area and Around the city Which were way better and more friendly. We won’t play this course again.
Watch out for currency exchange!
The course inflated our $USD89 round price to $USD99 by giving themselves 19 pesos to the US dollar. As I write this, most places are giving 17 (xE 16.7 11-Jan) pesos exchange. It doesn’t sound like much of a difference, but it’s a $USD40 grab on your foursome
It’s a well-located course with all the Crocodiles you want to see, it’s too bad they decided to go a low route on currency exchange.
