Flamingos Club de Golf
About
Opened in 1978, Flamingos Gofl Club was the first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. There are nine water hazards and over 40 bunkers that come into play throughout the golf course. The layout will test your target golf skills and good strategizing will be greatly rewarded, which includes not only your ball placement on the fairways but also proper club selection, especially on the holes that are more affected by the strong coastal breezes.

Course in great shape
First time I have played in PV. Beautiful course. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Old but Freshened up. . .
Played with another couple and pace of play was good. Tee box’s great (tips) fairways ok but greens were very slow. Not a bad value given the pricey resort Courses here. Would play again and the golfers bar was great food, drinks, prices, etc. terrific staff.
Great course at reasonable cost near Riviera Nayarit
This is the ooldest course in the Puerto Vallarta area and is in great shape. The course is very tight with most holes lined with palm/mango trees and dense vegetation. The greens are large but have a variety of pin positions since they are not severely sloped. The greens, fairways and tees were in great shape. The staff was nice and I paid $20 for a caddy although a cart was included. There is s driving range, putting green and small restaurant. I got a great deal on Golfnow and would definitely play again.
It was fun to play
Fairly Nice but if you want to play around 8 or 9h00, it is way To expensive for the quality of the course (110.00).
Fun course for all levels of golfers
I found the course to be in great shape, interesting to play with enough hazards etc to get in trouble but not so many to make it miserable. Played from different tees make it a whole different course. Well worth playing for the price.
Better than the typical resort courses
Good price thru golf now and didn't have to take a caddy. Played with a fun couple from California. Playing again!
Fun and challenges in the sun.
Course is if good condition although the greens are not as quick as they look. This said for a resort course it presents a reasonable challenge off the white tees. Golf in Puerto Vallarta area is quite expensive at this time of the year but the twilight rate at this course is better value and providing your tee time is pre 2.30pm you’ll complete your round. Would play the course again and recommend it to others.
Staff is pushy and begging for tips
Flamingos is a great golf course and close to everything in Nuevo Vallarta - the only negative is that the staff are very pushy and always wanting tips. The girls in the pro shop treat Golf Now customers as second class citizens and won't let us check in until 5 minutes before our booked tee time even if we are willing to pay and go to the range. A different attitude from staff could make Flamingos our favourite course. As it is now - we always prefer Litibu.
Up and down
Greens started poor and then no real consistency,,first time here ,,a lot of blind shots..not my favourite way to play...to each his own..
Not too sure
Greens all different, speed and condition..5 hours to play..no maps or hole diagrams on many blind shots..l am a low handicap and found no idea of targets most of time..other than that my group was great and weather good as well..
The course has a great layout. But it's in bad shape. The maintenance is not good. The greens are poorly cut due to bad equipment.
The course has the ability to be a great course. It has trees, water, sand, and many elevated greens. The problem is, they don't have the capital it takes to maintain it. The fairway cutters are poor equipment. The green mowers are also in need of repair as the greens are not constantly cut. The staff is excellent, great people. The food is good and the beer is cold! So with all the minuses, the price is great at 57 dollars US. I've played it many time before and I will continue to play it based on bargain green fees!
Attractive and quiet
Nice rolling landscape with many wide fairways. all around good condition with recent upgrades to the pathways and hazards give this a newer course feel, despite being the oldest track in the region. Scenic and well laid out with the best value in the area. I have already booked another round for next week.
Lone Golfer
Booked thru golf now for $60 regular $185. Teed off at 1:24 with a couple fro Edmonton and a young fella from San Francisco. Tough but fair course. Disappointed that we didn’t see any crocodiles. My one complaint would be that there are no maps on the score card or on the course so if you have never golfed there you hitting blind. Luckily for me the couple fro Edmonton had golfed there before and acted as our guide. Club rentals are Taylor Made not Callaway or Adams and it is not mandatory to have a caddie for 3 or more golfers. Must have been old site that Golf Now had not updated. All in all It was great.
Reasonably priced, always can get on the course. On this occasion we played behind a members tournament. As a result, the greens were a little "shaggy" and the course a little bet up. Members could try using the rake once in a while - the traps were a mess.
